A free Covid-19 vaccination temporary center will soon rise at the Nayong Pilipino Foundation vacant lot in Parañaque City, Metro Manila after the Philippines’ Inter-Agency Task Force (IATF) for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases approved the initiative endorsed by the Department of Tourism (DOT).

The vaccination facility is a public-private partnership that is expected to vaccinate at least 12,000 people a day.

The DOT issued a statement on April 12, 2021, saying it welcomes the IATF ratification of the initiative saying the facility is expected to be a gamechanger in the vaccination program.

Following the IATF approval, the National Task Force against COVID-19 will next enter into an agreement with the Nayong Pilipino Foundation for the execution of the project.

The new Nayong Pilipino is being constructed as a world-class cultural park and creative hub in Manila. The foundation has also sought the guidance of scientists in starting the urban park.
