Cartellino’s online art drive First Edition returns this year to raise funds for Filipino children’s welfare and Museo Pambata, the popular children’s museum in Manila that remains temporarily closed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

This year’s First Edition fundraiser by e-commerce website Cartellino gathers works in series, editions, and multiples by over 90 Philippine contemporary artists in one online platform.

Featured on Cartellino’s website are art prints and pieces by famed illustrators such as Manix Abrera and Tarantadong Kalbo, and renowned artist Juvenal Sansó, whose limited-edition works were earlier sold to aid the Museo Pambata in its temporary closure.

The collection also includes original works and art objects by Jel Suarez and Touki Roldan, Mr. S, Krista Nogueras, Ella Mendoza, and Distort Monsters.

Running from September 1 to September 15, 2021, part of the profits of the fundraiser will benefit Museo Pambata and Make-A-Wish Foundation Philippines, two organizations with initiatives and advocacies that have always championed Filipino children’s welfare.

Museo Pambata is a children’s interactive museum, children’s library, and playground, the first of its kind in the Philippines. The foundation’s Mobile Library program has been providing reading materials for underprivileged children and the out-of-school youth of Manila since 1995.

Established in 2000, Make-A-Wish Foundation Philippines is the first and only non-profit wish-granting foundation in the country.

Miss Universe 2018 Catriona Gray partnered with Make-A-Wish to grant the wishes of Filipino children with critical illnesses through her birth month fundraiser this year.

Launched in 2019, Cartellino is an online-only platform, and digest and shop of Asian Contemporary art.

Last year’s First Edition fundraiser benefited indigenous communities and needy families in the Philippines.

You can purchase from this year’s First Edition on Cartellino’s website here.

Art-for-a-cause projects like the Visual Poetry art drive and Jeepney Art fund drive were launched by Filipinos last year to assist those in need amid the COVID-19 pandemic.

SEND CHEERS in the comments below to Cartellino for launching an online art drive to raise funds for Filipino children’s welfare and the Museo Pambata Foundation.
