Filipino band 6cyclemind donates song royalties to Liter of Light solar movement

6cyclemind’s Kinsentenyal is the rock band’s 20th-anniversary offering.

Filipino rock band 6cyclemind is donating the song royalties for its new song, “Kinsentenyal”, to solar energy movement Liter of Light Foundation.

The band composed of Tito Fortunato “Tutti” Caringal II on vocals, Ryan “Rye” Sarmiento on rhythm guitars and backing vocals, Roberto “Bob” Cañamo on bass guitar and backing vocals, Herbert Hernandez on lead guitars, and Vic Aquino on drums, recorded and produced the track to bring to life the song written and arranged by Raymund Marasigan.

“Kinsentenyal” was first performed by 6cyclemind in the Liter of Light video for the Philippine Independence Day celebration on June 12, 2021, which showcased the newest large-scale solar artwork of the Filipino-born global grassroots movement at the SM Mall of Asia globe in Manila.

The Liter of Light and 6cyclemind collaboration was presented as a tribute to the celebration of Filipino pride and freedom with LapuLapu’s victory against Spanish conquerors 500 years ago in 1521.

The rock band announced that 100% of its artist royalties from this song will be donated to the Liter of Light Foundation as part of 6cyclemind’s offerings for its 20th year anniversary.
