Watch Margaux Orpia talk about Auckland’s Botany Library hosting a monthly Filipino Family Club gathering where the Philippine language and culture are taught to children.

Orpia was interviewed on Super Pinoy E-Kwento Mo’s Tuesdays with Kuya Romy aired over ApnaTV-36.

The Filipino Family Club volunteer shares the group’s mission to help the children of Filipino-Kiwi families to remember their mother tongue and heritage.

The group is continuing its mission after it was established in 2020. The program was delayed due to the coronavirus outbreak but the Botany Library in Auckland has since allotted a slot in its calendar of activities for the Filipino gathering.

The Filipino Family Club at Auckland’s Botany Public Library gathers once a month, every 4th Sunday, between 1-2 PM, where the Filipino language and culture are shared in fun games for families.

Super Pinoy E-Kwento Mo’s Tuesdays with Kuya Romy aired over ApnaTV-36 airs Tuesdays at 5:30 PM in New Zealand.
