Nicole Scherzinger of the Pussycat Dolls and judge panelist of Masked Singer US whose first recording of the Filipino ballad “Pangako (Promise)” went viral in 2020, proudly bannered her affiliation with a network that called to stop the violence against Asian-Americans and Pacific Islanders.

Apl.de.ap of Black Eyed Peas who headlined the SEA Games hosting of the Philippines recalled how the anti-Asian sentiment surged in the wake of Covid.

“This was a campaign from NYC last November to bring awareness to the hate Asians have been receiving in the wake of COVID. Now seems as important a time as any to remind ourselves that we’re all in this together. I’m truly sorry for the families of those involved.”

Four-time Best Actor winner Darren Criss who has repeatedly declared his proud Filipino heritage tweeted a thread addressed to the people of Atlanta and called on everyone to make peace, not hate.

“And it is up to that very majority to show our strength, defiance, and resilience against these monsters. They are a dying breed of scarred, confused, and angry people. And we have to make them understand there is no place for hatred in any world that seeks peace. #StopAsianHate”
