Travel to the famous Bohol island in the Philippines is now made easy and affordable with the “Balik sa Bohol” Online Sale.

Bohol’s first-ever and biggest-selling campaign, a collaborative project among the tourism stakeholders of the Central Visayas province, offers massive discounts and easy access to the island’s breathtaking beaches, scenic hills, majestic rivers, spectacular dive sites, and organic farm food from 20 participating destinations and 1 adventure park.

The sale references to the “Balik sa Bohol”, an original Boholano composition often sung by local musicians aboard a floating restaurant or at the departure area of ports enticing visitors to return. The catchy lyrics and upbeat rhythm usually linger in the mind even after tourists have left Bohol. Today, it is the anthem to beckon the gradual return of tourism activities.

In order to lure tourists back, massive price drops (to as much as 70%) in rooms, food, tours, and related services will be offered by resorts, hotels, and tour operators during the Balik sa Bohol: Bohol Online Sale, organized by the private sector and fully supported by the Department of Tourism, Tourism Promotions Board, and the Provincial Government of Bohol.

Mayor Leonila Montero of Panglao, the first LGU to reopen tourism in Bohol, said that no quarantine is required if the visitor is from within the tourist bubble or is a resident of Panglao. The requirements are less stringent but still safe following DOT guidelines, using DOT-accredited vehicles, and travel and tours.

Panglao is adopting a paradigm shift in diving activities breaking the myth of exclusivity to privileged adults only and is making an awareness campaign that diving is for families instead of individual divers. Diving also involves environmental activities such as coral transplantation.
