Lloyd Cadena is one of the most popular Filipino vloggers, with millions of subscribers and followers on YouTube and Facebook.
According to a statement released on his official Facebook page on Friday, September 4, Vlogger Lloyd Cadena has died at age 26.
“It is with a heavy heart and great sadness that we announce the untimely demise of our beloved brother Lloyd Cafe Cadena,” the post read.
“May he be remembered for all the joy and laughter he shared with everyone. My family and I ask for your prayers, respect, and privacy during this time.”
Lloyd started his channel in 2010. He featured challenge videos, unboxing, and cooking videos. All videos are done with Cadena’s comedic talent.
He had more than 5 million subscribers combined on his YouTube channel.
He was best known for his funny antics and candid vlogs about his daily life. Furthermore, he also had more than 5 million followers on Facebook.
He was able to buy a house and lot for his family at Lancaster New City in Cavite through vlogging.
“Magre-retire na iyong nanay ko and I want her to experience na may sarili na kaming bahay,” he said.
Lloyd studied Business Administration, majoring in Financial Management at Colegio de San Juan de Letran-Manila.
Recently, Emman Nimedez, another YouTube sensation, passed away due to kidney failure and blood complication.
Cadena is supposed to celebrate his 27th birthday on September 22. No cause of death was given but several reports said it was due to cardiac arrest.
