COVID-19 survivor Iza Calzado was able to show her gratefulness to the health care workers who helped her recover after reuniting with them months after she was released from the hospital.
Calzado credits the hospital care and prayers from supporters for helping her survive the ordeal after she was hospitalized in March 2020.
The actress now serves as an inspiration to all patients who are fighting the COVID-19 infection. She had also donated her blood plasma which would be used for treating other COVID-19 patients.
The ABS-CBN star reunited with the health workers on July 6 and posted photos on social media.
“Allow me to shine the spotlight on my amazing team of nurses (missing a few though!) from Asian Hospital who gave me the best love and care any patient could ever ask for,” Iza shared on her Instagram that came with photos of her together with the medical frontliners.
“Together with my brilliant doctors, I really couldn’t have asked for a better team to help me fight and beat Covid 19. I am forever grateful,” she added.
Aside from Iza Calzado, Kapuso broadcast journalist Howie Severino and songwriter Arnel de Pano were some of the TV and music personalities who got infected and recovered from the disease.
