The University of the Philippines (UP), Ateneo de Manila University (ADMU), and De La Salle University (DLSU) have once again proven their academic excellence by securing spots in the prestigious 2024 Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) World University Rankings By Subject.
Out of 1,559 universities globally, UP, DLSU, and Ateneo stand tall among the best institutions for various subjects. QS WUR By Subject, unveiled on April 10, evaluates 55 subjects across five domains: arts and humanities, engineering and technology, life sciences and medicine, social sciences and management, and natural sciences.
UP emerges as the leading Philippine institution, featured in four subject areas: arts and humanities, engineering and technology, life sciences and medicine, and social sciences and management. Meanwhile, Ateneo and DLSU make their mark in the areas of arts and humanities, and social sciences and management.

Arts & Humanities:
13 individual subjects are included within the broad subject area of arts and humanities, for which Harvard University has been ranked as the best university in the world.

The broad subject area of life sciences & medicine encompasses nine individual subjects, including medicine, dentistry, and veterinary science. Harvard University is once again ranked as the best.
