Philippine cuisine, Inasal na Manok rank in Taste Atlas World Top 100

Philippine cuisine and Inasal na Manok (chargrilled/roasted chicken) were named among the World’s Top 100 by Taste Atlas Awards 2022.

Philippine traditional food ranked #23 while Inasal na Manok ranked #35 in the Best-of-Lists released by the popular food encyclopedia just before Christmas.

Philippine Cuisine

The Philippines’ cuisine is listed among the Top 95 of the world’s best led by Italian food, according to audience votes for ingredients, dishes and beverages.

Filipino cuisine was rated with 4.25 stars with 168 food recommendations including the following BEST RATED FOODS:

  • Bangus
  • Banana Ketchup
  • Kesong Puti
  • Lumpiang Shanghai
  • Tortang along

There were 245 recommended BEST RESTAURANTS TO TRY FILIPINO CUISINE on the list led by:

  • Original Pares Mami House (Quezon City)
  • Good Taste (Baguio)
  • Balay Dako (Tagaytay)
  • Ulli’s Streets of Asia (Cebu City)
  • Cafe Ilang-Ilang (Manila)

Inasal na Manok

The Bacolod-originated Inasal na Manok is listed among the Top 100 tastes preferred by the food site’s audience.

The chicken dish was given 4.63 stars in the world’s best list topped by Japan’s Kare.

Taste Atlas recommends the dish BEST IN:

  • Balay Dako (Tagaytay, Philippines)

Earlier this year, Inasal na Manok was named the 5th Best Chicken Dish in the World on Taste Atlas.

The food encyclopedia audience also named 5 Types of the Philippines’ Pancit Among the Best Noodle Dishes in the World.
