News broke out about the Convicted Ex-cop, Jonel Nuezca passed away in Bilibid.
Convicted ex-cop Joel Nuezca who found guilty for k*lling Sonya Gregorio and her son Frank Anthony in Tarlac found dead, an official from BuCor, Bureau of Corrections.
BuCor Spokesperson Gabriel Chaclag said that they brought Nuezca to the New Bilibid Prison (NBP) hospital Tuesday at 6:30pm by his cellmates after he collapsed while walking outside his dormitory.
Later that night, Nuezca was declared dead at 6:44 p.m. The cause of death is still unknown.
“Investigation is ongoing to determine if there is foul play in the incident,” he said.
The son of Sonia Gregorio, the one who died in Nuezca’s hand shared his thoughts on Nuezca’s passing.
According to Mark Gregorio, he was quite surprised.
“Kahit sino magsabi sa amin, hindi talaga kami naniniwala,” said Mark.
“Kahit po sabihin na may picture at nabalita na sa TV, ang reaction ko po…Kahit si papa, hindi po naniniwala. Kahapon po kasi kahit sino magsabi sa amin, hindi talaga kami naniniwala,” Mark said.
He even stated that it could just be “palabas” to get him out of prison.
On Dec. 20 last year, Nuezca hogged the headlines after a video of him shooting to death Sonya and her son was posted on social media.
