HomeTown Cha Cha Cha actor, Kim Seon ho Survived South Korea’s Cancel Culture.

For Kpop/Kdrama lovers “cancel culture” is nothing new to our ears. A lot of rising actor/idol careers can be finished in an instant just for single-issue whether it is during their career or way back mid-school.

Koreans, or often called knetz expect celebrities to follow such social norms and be flawless, righteous, and such. And once they got involved in a scandal such as gambling, bullying and even dating it will cause a downfall in their career.

And now a rising actor who started in Start-Up and even won an award and a lead in a Netflix original series HomeTown Cha Cha Cha, Kim Seon Ho has been in a spotlight for “scandal” made by his ex. His ex-girlfriend claimed some allegations that took Seonho’s career great damage.

As he kept silent, his endorsement cut ties. And this is when cancel culture start, one by one endorsement, projects will cut ties in an instant.

Kim Seon Ho released an apology letter as some claimed that his sorry proved all allegations, his ex took social media once again to say that it was just a misunderstanding between them and said sorry too.

But this issue didn’t stop here, as Dispatch revealed details blow by blow about their relationship and shows that Seonho’s ex might have distorted the truth to benefit her.

After the revelation of Dispatch and Seonho’s college friends defended him saying how kind-hearted Seonho was to them way back and even his ex’s friend defended him against their friend providing evidence to back up, and for Seonho’s fans seonhohadas who never left by his side believing in him, Seon ho might be the first actor to bounce back and defy Korea’s toxic cancel culture.

Some company like Canon Korea, Nau Korea, and Edition Sensibility have unarchived their promotional materials featuring Seon ho. Everwhite, who never left him is currently sold out, Miima mask now is sold out and said it has bulk pending pre-order and a rise up of Instagram followers since they bring back Seonho’s mask.

With all this. Seonho’s fans were all thankful for choosing to trust him that’s why they supported the brand Seonho was in.

Some famous magazines still published Seonho despite the controversies and knetz and international fans are still making it sold out.

Additionally, KBS, the broadcasting network of 2 Days & 1 Night, tweeted a clip last October 22 that showed Seon Ho.

The first stage of controversy, Seonho lost thousands of Instagram followers but after clearing his name it increase and still added.

After a week-long controversy surrounding him and his fans are patiently waiting for his comeback maybe not too soon but at least they all know that Seonho survived the harsh reality of Korea’s cancel culture and be back stronger.

Amidst controversy, his co-star and HomeTown Cha Cha Cha’s director and staff shows their support by posting his pictures in their personal Instagram account.
