A few months ago, a netizen named Benj Gonzales shared series of photos of a fruit vendor while attending his online class. The posts garnered thousands of shares and admiration from the people on social media.
Gonzales is in need of fruits for his pregnant wife but failed to look for a cheaper one. He accidentally met a fruit vendor who is currently taking his online class.
Gonzales also noticed that Mike, the Gr. 9 fruit vendor, is using a laptop while selling his goods in Marulas Public Market, Valenzuela City.
Last Friday, Benj gives further updates on how is Mike doing now, both in life and in his studies. Gonzales revealed that they have frequently contacted each other since their meeting.
Gonzales stated that he became friends with Mike’s parents, who then sell vegetables.
“Naging suki po niya ako. Nag-aaral pa rin siya, Naging kaibigan ko na din ang mga magulang niya. Sa kanila ako palagi bumibili ng gulay at prutas, Yung mga magulang nya nagtitinda din ng gulay at kung anu-anong divisoria items, yung mga tig-PHP10, PHP20, mga ganun,” Gonzales said quoted by PEP.
