Filipino language use in official transactions is being celebrated this National Language Month in the Philippines.
The Komisyon ng Wikang Filipino (KWF) announced the 31 agencies and local government units that will receive awards for their good use of the Filipino language during the Covid-19 pandemic.
The offices that are to be awarded on August 31, 2021, are cited for following Executive Order 335, an instruction to have government offices use the Filipino language in their official transaction, communication, and correspondence.
Four levels of awards are to be given to the following:
Level 1:
- DBM
- DAR
- DOST
- MTRCB
- OPAP
- JRMMC
- Bayan ng Orion
- Lungsod Parañaque
- Lungsod Valenzuela
- Museo ng Pasig
Level 2:
- DA
- DOLE-BWSC
- DOT
- DENR
- DepEd Central
- DepEd Rehiyon V
- DILG
- MIAA
- PCOO
- PAF
- Bayan ng Marilao
Level 3:
- DSWD
- MMDA
- QMMC
- RMC
- Lungsod Sta. Rosa
Level 4:
- CFO
- Lungsod Mandaluyong
- Lungsod Maynila
- Lungsod Taguig
The KWF Seal of Honor in Public Service will be awarded to the Philippine Postal Corporation (PHLPost) for its outstanding use of Filipino across the nation. The Postal Office has received KWF awards for five straight years, from 2016 to 2021.

National Language Month in 2020 urged the use of the local languages to disseminate Covid-19 information.
Philippine languages are being preserved by the Marayum Online Dictionary run by University of the Philippines students.
