Online design company Canva Philippines has bagged the top spot in this year’s Best Workplaces in Asia list in the small-medium business (SMB) category.

Canva, co-founded by Filipino-Aussie Melanie Perkins, ranked first among Asia’s Best 100 small and medium businesses released by global workplace culture authority Great Place to Work (GPTW) on July 20, 2021.

In the Philippines’ Best Workplaces 2021, Canva Philippines also emerged strong as one of the Top 3 companies, making them a list-maker for two consecutive years.

Logistics company DHL Express topped the Best Workplaces in Asia list in the “Best 30 Multinational Companies” (MNC) in Asia category, while Western Union Services Philippines Inc. placed seventh in the “Best 70 Large” category.

Great Place to Work surveyed over 3.3 million employees from across 16 diverse countries and cultures in Asia and the Middle East and assessed factors such as trust, innovation, company values, and leadership to determine the Best Workplaces in Asia. The list is the largest survey of employee experiences in the region.

Canva earlier offered free designs and printing services to Filipinos who are in need of signage for their community pantries. Canva has also been offering Filipino elements on the design platform.
