The new free Bayanihan E-Konsulta doctor consultation platform brings together online frontliners and patients who cannot go to hospitals amid the surge of Cvodi-19 cases in the Philippines.
The Facebook page features a listing of options for teleconsultations, Covid public testing centers, and Covid-19 hotlines of Local government units. The messaging service provides real-time assistance to users.
The Bayanihan E_Konsulta platform was launched by the Office of the Vice President on April 7, 2021, to serve mainly patients in the areas currently under Enhanced Community quarantine (ECQ) – National Capital Region (Metro Manila), Bulacan, Cavite, Laguna, and Rizal.
The online service accessed on Facebook provides a way for volunteer doctors and health workers to help patients who otherwise would have no access to medical help.
To get a doctor consultation:
- The patient only needs to visit the Bayanihan E-Konsulta Facebook
- Click the Message button
- Type “KONSULTA” or “TULONG” to get the chat feature to direct the patient to its requested service
