Hyun Bin and Son Ye Jin, lead stars of the hit Korean Drama series “Crash Landing On You” who have since turned out to be a real-life couple, sent a heart-warming video message to Filipino fans.
“Hello. This is Hyun Bin. I have been given another chance to meet you all through Smart’s new campaign video. I hope that you’ll continue to support Smart and me. I wish you a Happy New Year. Please keep yourselves healthy and warm this year,” he said in a video released by SMART during a live virtual event on February 22, 2021.
Son Ye Jin said that she might not be able to meet fans in person but, she is still happy that she can greet fans through the video.
“Last year was a difficult year for everyone. I sincerely hope you become happier this year. I hope to see you soon. Stay healthy until then.” she said.
Jane Basas, VP and Head of Consumer Wireless Business at Smart, revealed in the virtual press conference that it was never Smart’s plan to bring them together. But due to the fans’ clamors, the company decided to bring them together in one TV Commercial.
“Mahal namin kayo, Smartees!” the couple said.
Philippine Film Export Services Office (PFESO) head David Fabros once said that the hit South Korean drama “Crash Landing on You (CLOY)” should serve as an inspiration for developing film tourism in the Philippines.
Korean drama “Start-up” breakout star Kim Seon Ho was also recently featured in a video checking out Pinoy snacks and answering questions from Filipino fans.
