Bataan National Park in Central Luzon can expect a boost in sports and adventure tourism with an improved access road nearing completion.
The famous hiking destination in Orani’s Mount Natib will soon be accessed on the enhanced Mulawin-Tala Road spanning 3.3 kilometers.
Mt. Natib is a dormant volcano rising at 1,253 meters above sea level and is favored by mountain climbers, nature lovers, and extreme sport trekkers taking the challenge to climb to the mountain peak.
The Department of Public Works and Highways reported on January 5, 2021, that the Bataan National Park access road is at 80% completion and is expected to be finished by April.
“Once completed, safer and more convenient travel await not only tourists going to this ecotourism zone but also for motorists and residents transporting their local products,” said DPWH Secretary Mark Villar.
Also in the works is the Bataan-Cavite Mega Bridge over Manila Bay waters to ease traffic going to Northern Luzon.
