The Philippine Postal Corporation (PHLPost) has released its recommended early Christmas mail schedule for this year to ensure that mails and parcels get received in time for the Yuletide season.
PHLPost advises the public, especially the Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs) to send their mails and parcels before the suggested date of mailing at post offices and abroad to reach the destinations in time for Christmas 2020 and New Year 2021.
Holiday-related Domestic Express Mails (DEMS) should be sent not later than December 10 (Thursday), and November 29 (Sunday) for International Express Mails (IEMS). Domestic Registered Mails should be posted before December 4 (Friday) while International Registered Mails not later than November 16 (Monday).
Domestic Ordinary Mails should be sent on or before December 5 (Saturday), International Ordinary (Air) mails not later than November 18 (Wednesday).
Likewise, the deadline for Domestic Parcels is set on December 1 (Tuesday), November 18 (Wednesday) for International Air Parcels.
Mail items containing goods (especially with dutiable items), are subject to customs examination and may need additional processing time.
The public shall also be advised that the delivery time may also be affected by the safety and security protocols implemented in the respective destinations to prevent the spread of Covid-19.
“This has been one of the toughest years for the postal service, and it also acknowledges the extraordinary efforts made across the country’s postal workers to meet the challenges brought about by the global health crisis.”, PHLPost said in a statement.
Post Offices nationwide are open from Monday to Friday, 8:00AM to 5:00PM, except during holidays.

PHLPost is also helping set up community Postal Stations across the country.
