These celebrity solar engineers build Light it Forward solar lights for a cause

Filipino celebrities together with their loved ones have joined the noble cause of building solar lights in the LIGHT IT FORWARD challenge. Screengrabs from their videos.

The fourth batch of celebrities to become solar engineers for a cause has been revealed by the Liter of Light Foundation.

Since the launch of the Light it Forward Challenge in July 2020, outpouring support from local celebrities has been a huge player in the solar lighting movement.

The aim to brighten the lives of others is not hindered by the ongoing pandemic but rather maximized the opportunity to spread the message while staying in the comfort of our homes.

In order to build a solar lamp, a solar engineer must assemble the light kit sent by Liter of Light, have the assembly process filmed, and pass the challenge forward to families and friends.

The solar lamp is a zero carbon-emitting light source that lasts for five years and was made from a recycled plastic bottle which also promotes waste reduction.

Join your favorite celebrities and be a light source to others.

Here is the 4th batch of celebrity solar engineers to take on the LIGHT IT FORWARD Challenge:

  • Actress Ria Atayde
  • Actress Jackie Lou Blanco with her 2 daughters
  • Actor Rocco Nacino with his brother
  • Actor Jay Gonzaga
  • Sweethearts Joseph Marco and Darja Ramanova
  • Teen star Edward Barber
  • TV host Amy Perez Castillo
  • Actor Tirso Cruz III’s daughter Djanin Cruz
