The Liwayway Marketing Corporation (Oishi Group) has donated 5,000 pieces of Level-1 hazmat suits, valued at ₱5,000,000 to the Kaisa Kontra Korona (KPSK) project for distribution to the Philippines’ medical frontliners.
The donation was received at KPSK’s office in Manila on August 1, 2020.
This is the third time that the Liwayway Group has donated to Kaisa’s anti-COVID efforts.
The entire Kaisa family would like to express its utmost gratitude to Liwayway Group honorary chairman, Amb. Carlos Chan, for his constant concern and utmost support for the Philippines’ medical frontliners.
Amb. Chan has previously served as Kaisa Heritage Foundation’s board chairman from 2016 to 2019. He has given very generously to Kaisa’s anti-COVID efforts since it gained pandemic status last March, with donations totaling around ₱40,000,000.
The safety of the Philippines medical frontliners has been severely compromised with the recent explosion of the COVID-19 infection count coupled with the serious lack of personal protective equipment and other medical supplies and equipment locally. With this, Kaisa Para sa Kaunlaran shall continue to purchase much-needed supplies and combine it with Liwayway’s donation for distribution to the hospitals that need it the most.
