1st-ever Pasinaya Virtual Trade Fair of Region 2 MSMEs generate 1.2 million sales

The first-ever (One Town One Product) OTOP Digital Market Showroom and Online Trade Platform was the kickoff for the ‘new normal’ Trade Fairs.

Region 2 micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) generated 1.2 Million in total sales during the Pasinaya Virtual Trade Fair 2020.

The first-ever (One Town One Product) OTOP Digital Market Showroom and Online Trade Platform held on July 20 to 24, 2020, was the kickoff for the ‘new normal’ Trade Fairs.

Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Region 2’s trademark regional trade fair, “PADDAY NA LIMA” (meaning, made by hands), was one of the featured virtual showrooms where buyers shop, meet and negotiate with the MSME-exhibitors online through the Zoom video-conferencing tool.

RLGV Fruits and Wine Industry of Isabela and Silya Home Furnishing of Nueva Vizcaya recorded the highest share of total sales in the food and non-food sector, respectively.

Other participating MSMEs for the food sector included Doque’s Congie House (Batanes), Lighthouse Cooperative and C.E.C.Food Ventures (Cagayan), EJ Contreras Food House, KMK Food Products (Isabela), One Asia Trader and Amazing Livelihood Association (Nueva Vizcaya), Maddela Integrated Farmers Savings Development Cooperative and MIF Processing Plant (Quirino).

Other participants from the non-food sector were Citas Handicraft (Batanes), Lal-lo RIC Federation, Inc. and A.S. De La Cruz Papercraft (Cagayan), Quirino Youth in Action, Santos Women Weavers Association, LT Herbal Health Products (Isabela), Four H Handicraft, Maddela Flowers and Crafts and Flower Queen Enterprises (Quirino).

Among the buyers who visited the Padday Na Lima showroom were Ms. Elena Umali of Coffeemaker Blends Baguio City, Ms. Cielo of San Dionisio Credit Cooperative from Iloilo, Ms. Katherine Portugal of Traevents Co., Ms. Sheryl Quizon, Mr. Frederico Gutierrez of Citymalls, and Lilia Velarde of Philippine Exporters Retailers Producers Association.
