Ethel Booba had a disagreement with some Twitter users after she recently expressed her opinion regarding joining rallies in the midst of the pandemic.
On July 21, Ethel Booba posted a tweet about people with a lot of demands, doing rallies urging the government to do mass testing and to junk the controversial anti-terror law.
“Mga teh Daming demand #masstesting #junkterrorbill at iba pa haba ng listahan kung tutuusin Pero simpling social distancing at manahimik muna sa bahay di nyo masunod ano to superhero ang datingan di tinatablan si superman nga teh nasa bahay lang ayaw mahawa at makahawa. Happy?” Booba said.
She’s pointing out how some Filipinos couldn’t follow some simple orders from the government like social distancing and staying at home.
“Ask ko lang teh satin lang ba may covid kung isisi mo rin lahat siguraduhin mo rin teh na marunong tayo sumunod kung panay ang kontra natin ano mangyayari apektado lahat tayo sa nangyayari simpleng pagsunod lang di natin magawa. Sa sarili nagsisimula. #Healasone Happy?” she said.
“Let cut the story short di ba andami hinaing walang ginagawa current na nakaupo ano ang solusyon nyo sa nangyayari di ba nga ako makikinig ako di yung puro patama rito patama roon sige go pahaba ng pahaba dadamay nyo pa lahat ng tao sa hinaing nyo. Happy?” she also said.
Additionally, Booba also stated her thoughts about the government’s budget strategy to get through while in this pandemic.
“Yan ang sabi ko eto opinion ko rin lang ha may maayos bang pasok na kita ang pinas ngayon. Parang balik tayo sa kasabihang ubos biyaya bukas nakatunganga narinig ko rin lang di ba dapat may reserve. Kahit naman siguro ako kung di ko iispin ang bukas mahaba pa ang laban teh. Happy” she said.
The blogger-comedienne also stressed out that there are so many ways for the people to let their complaints be known. But she chose to pray.
“Sinong may sabing di kami o ako apektado. Simple lang ang sinabi ko reading comprehension ika nga di ba. Maraming paraan para ilabas mo ang hinaing pero mas pipiliin ko magdasal. Alam ko sya lang ang may alam kung ano ang mangyayari. Pagsubok lang lahat to teh. Happy?” she stated.
Consequently, Booba then drops her sarcastic remark on Twitter to the rallyists, urging them to go out despite the risk of getting infected.
“Mga teh pinatawag ko kayong lahat tara labas tayo at matipon tipon. Laban natin to. Bahala na kung magka covid tayo isisi na lang natin sa gobyerno. Ganito ba dapat mga teh? Asan ang utak kala ko ba matalino kayo? Mga graduate ng UT university of twitter. #ganun #Happy?” she said.
Booba posted the tweet after groups revealed plans to conduct rallies in the upcoming State of the Nation Address of President Rodrigo Duterte.
Ethel Booba became notable on social media because of a poser Twitter account named after her.
Moreover, the said fake Twitter account @IamEthylGabison was known for posting tweets criticizing the government.
Ethel Booba disowned the said Twitter account, using her original Twitter account @EthelBooba6.
